To Advertise with Gulf Times contact Advert on Click The Gulf Times newspaper was founded in 1978 as the first publication of the Gulf Publishing and Printing Company in the capital city of Qatar, Doha. It is one of three English-language newspapers in the country.

Three years later, on February 22, 1981, the Gulf Times daily was launched.
The pioneers of Gulf Times in the first year were 12 staff members only, distributed in different technical departments. With the growth in structure, essence and substance, the paper took on more distinguished, experienced journalists to join its task of covering regional, Arab and international events.
The Gulf Times comprises several sections: editorial, analysis, news, economy, sports, library and archives, technical and local reporters.

Restrictions

- The advertisement prices, mechanical data and payment commitment will be strictly followed by the Advertiser.

- The Advertiser acknowledges that he has the full legal rights to publish the advertisement submitted for publication and that by publishing the advertisement.

- Gulf Times will not violate the rights of any person or any official status or rules or regulations or any applicable Authority.

- The Advertiser agrees to indemnify Gulf Times and hold it harmless from and defend it against any losses, expenses, suits or claims which Gulf Times may incur and which arise out of the publication by it or any of such advertisements including, without limitation of the foregoing, any claims of liable violation of rights of privacy, plagiarism, unfair, competition or trade practices or copyright trademark infringements.

- The Advertisement will be published on the dates specified by the Advertiser subject to space availability and circumstances.

- The Publisher reserves the right to cancel or change positions of the ad, in order to accommodate important news. The decision of the Chief Editor is final.

- The Publisher reserves the right to reject any Advertisement that are deemed unsuitable for publication.

- The Advertiser pledges to settle the value of the advertisement agreed upon in this agreement.

- In case the original invoice is lost after delivery by the client, only e-tearsheets or certified printouts containing exact image of the page and the advertisement will be provided as supporting document.

- Gulf Times will not be responsible for any delays or loss of email transmission, broken links, damaged CD's, or inaccurate sizes.

- Office Timings 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Friday holiday.

- In case of error from the part of Gulf Times, its responsibility will be limited within the value of the advertisement and the Advertiser cannot make any claims / objection to the advertisement after 7 days from the publishing date.

Materials

- Black & White advertisements to be provided as greyscale or CMYK for Color advertisements.
- All Artworks to be provided to final sizes.
- Press ready PDF or in Adobe Illustrator / TIFF / JPG with High Resolution (at least 300ppi).

Payment

- All Rates are in Qatari Riyals.
- Spot Colour: 15% extra.
- Special Position: 10% extra.
- Page 5 & 7: 15% extra.

Cancellation

- One day prior for B/W advertisements and two days prior for colour advertisements.
- Cancellations/ Amendments to insertion dates or artworks for the next day's publication must be done before 4:00 pm on a working day.

Booking Deadlines

- Artwork Deadline: One day prior to publishing date for main newspaper.
- Booking Deadline: Two working days prior for B/W advertisements and three working days prior for colour advertisements.
- Booking orders must contain clear instructions like Insertion Date, Size, Colour, Unit, Rates and Payment details.
